When it dumped all the snow here in Southern Utah we thought that it would make a fun adventure to go up to Zion. Now keep in mind it was before the huge snow and rain storm, so it was not really that bad.
Our first stop was in Hurricane. We wanted the kids to see a memorial for the men and women who went to war with their Great-Grandpa Stanworth. Richards grandpa and Irene are the best! The kids dont understand that they are great grandparents because we spend so much time with them. They just think of them as the grandpa for their dad's side. Anyways Garn's name is on it along with all the school mate's he had from Hurricane.
When we saw this old dozer we had to stop. I dont know who was more excited to see it, Rich or Jackson. Rich lives the good life driving one of those that has A.C and radios!
The girls were not very interested in the machine so we decided to feed the cute horses instead. They walked right up to us when I called out to them. Liv was nervous at first but it was a great first experience for her!
Once we got further up into the park (and paid the rediculous $25 enterance fee) there was more snow. It was the first time Killian had ever had the chance to pick it up, and yes, eat it.
We had a special treat when we saw some deer on the way off the mountian. They are so used to people in the park they let us get very close. When Rich took this picture he in the middle of the road and they were right on the side. 6 or 7 feet-ish away. Livi thought they were Santa's reindeer's babies.
Should have brought the tripod!
Would have been handy!
And the sweet girl doing what she does best on our little road trips.
It was an amazing day. Cold, but so much fun!
Driving through the nice paved roads made me appreciate the pioneers. What courage and strength it must have taken to get them here. Glad they paved the way for us!

I love your adventures! You are so good at them, just like mom and dad used to take us on. I'm terrible. Mine are like hey lets go on an adventure to....Wal_Mart. Haha
Page is funny! Adventures to WalMart is all you can find time for sometimes. I think Zion looks beautiful in snow. Lucky you, got to see it in person. :)
